JuliaCon Global 2026 takes place August 10–15, 2026 at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany. Germany is part of the Schengen Area, so depending on your nationality you may need to apply for a Schengen visa before travelling.
If you want to travel to Germany for a period of up to 90 days – e.g. for a visit, as a tourist, on business, or for medical treatment – you may require a Schengen visa.
An overview of the countries whose nationals require a Schengen visa for short stays or are exempt from the visa requirement for short stays can be found here:
More information on the Schengen visa is available on the website of the Federal Foreign Office.
If you are unsure, contact the German embassy or consulate in your country.
If your visa application requires an official invitation letter from the conference organisers, please fill out the form below. We will contact you with a personalised letter that you can submit together with your visa application.
Please note:
An invitation letter is not a guarantee of a visa grant; the decision rests solely with the issuing embassy or consulate.
Submit your request as early as possible to allow sufficient time for visa processing.
